I named the theme of my website Adagio. Adagio is a tempo mark in music. This is my favorite tempo. It makes me feel calm, peaceful and tranquil. My favorite music in this tempo is Saient Saens’ The Swan, which is one of the movements of The Carnival of the Animals. It is a solo cello accompanied by two pianos. It illustrates the elegance of the swan very well. The Russian Dancer Anna Pavlova performed The Dying Swan along with is music. It is vivid and touching. Jay Chou, a Chinese singer and director, re-composed this music with piano, and included it into his masterpiece The Secret. In the movie, the music expressed the disappointment of an impossible love. Adagio expresses a life pace or life style that I admire.
When I was sitting at the side of the Lake Ontario, the moonlight was reflected in the water, along with elegant swan couples. At that time, my mind was filled with the melody of the cello. Therefore, I decided to name this theme Adagio. I hope to share this mood to the whole world.
